I am experiencing Browser Issues. What Should I do?
If you are having issues accessing our website, there may be an issue with your browser. Here are our top tips for resolving technical difficulties:
1. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Apple Safari are the most reliable browsers for accessing our site. We do not recommend Internet Explorer, as it does not work well with our website.
2. Ensure that you have upgraded to the latest version of your browser.
3. Try accessing the site in the browser's safe mode.
4. Disable add-ons and extensions that might be interfering with the site.
5. Verify that Java is running on the latest version.
In many instances, simply clearing your browser's cache can resolve technical issues (see next question for instructions).
How Do I clear the Cache on my Mobile Browser?
Instructions for clearing your cache on a mobile browser will vary by browser type. Please select your browser from the list below, and click or tap on the browser name for for further instructions. (On a desktop? See the next question for instructions.)
Android
1. Find "Settings" and select "Apps" or "Application Manager."
2. Swipe to the "All" tab.
3. In your list of apps, locate and select your web browser. Select "Clear Data" and then "Clear Cache."
4. Close all other browser windows and re-open your browser.
Chrome for Android
1. Select "Chrome menu" > "Settings."
2. Select "(Advanced) Privacy."
3. Select "Clear browsing data."
4. Close all browser windows and re-open the browser.
Safari (Apple iOS)
1. Go to the "Settings" app.
2. Select the "Safari" app.
3. Choose "Clear History and Website Data" and confirm.
4. Close all browser windows and re-open the browser.
Chrome for iOS
1. Find the "Chrome" menu and select "Settings."
2. Select "Privacy."
3. Find the data type you want to clear.
4. Choose "Clear."
5. Close all browser windows and re-open the browser.
How Do I clear the Cache on my Desktop Browser?
Instructions for clearing your cache on a mobile browser will vary by browser type. Please select your browser from the list below, and click or tap on the browser name for for further instructions.
Android
1. Find the browser bar, and enter "chrome://settings/ClearBrowserData"
2. Choose the following options:
○ Browsing history
○ Download history
○ Cookies and other site and plug-in data
○ Cached images and files
3. From the "Obliterate the following items from:" menu, select the desired time range for clearing cached information. To clear your entire cache, choose "The beginning of time."
4. Choose "Clear browsing data."
5. Close all browser windows and re-open the browser
Firefox
1. Find the "History" menu, and select "Clear Recent History." If the menu bar appears to be hidden, press the "Alt" key to make it visible.
2. From the "Time Range to Clear:" menu, select the desired range. To clear your whole cache, select "Everything."
3. Next to "Details", click the down arrow to select which elements of your browsing history you would like to clear; to clear your whole cache, select all items.
4. Click "Clear Now."
5. Close all browser windows and re-open the browser.
Safari 8
1. Find the Safari menu, and select "Clear History and Website Data..."
2. Select the time range you would like to clear, and then choose "Clear History."
3. Navigate to Safari menu, and choose "Quit Safari" or press "Command-Q" on your keyboard to close the browser
completely.
Safari 7 and below
1. From the Safari menu, choose "Reset Safari..."
2. Find the items you would like to to reset, and then click "Reset." Since Safari 5.1, "Remove all website data" includes both cookies and cache.
3. Go to the Safari menu, and choose "Quit Safari" or press "Command-Q" on your keyboard to close the browser completely.
